HireFractional.ai ("we," "our," or "us") operates a marketplace connecting companies with fractional executives — experienced leaders who work part-time or on an engagement basis. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information across our platform at hirefractional.ai.
We take privacy seriously. We don't sell personal data. We don't share it with advertisers. We use what we collect to run and improve the marketplace.
Short version: We collect what we need to run a professional marketplace. Executives can claim, update, or remove their profiles. Companies' assessment data is used only to match them with the right talent.
2. How Executive Profiles Are Sourced
Our executive network was built by researching publicly available professional information. We compiled initial profiles from sources including:
- Professional directories and listings for fractional executives
- LinkedIn public profiles and company websites
- Industry association member directories
- Conference speaker rosters and published thought leadership
- Public professional bios on consulting firm websites
We do not scrape private data. We do not purchase contact databases. All initial profile data is sourced from information that professionals have made publicly available in a professional context.
The Claim Your Profile Process
Every profile on HireFractional.ai can be claimed by the executive it represents. When an executive claims their profile, they:
- Verify their identity and professional credentials
- Review, update, and enhance their listing
- Activate their profile for inbound client inquiries
- Set their availability, services, and engagement preferences
Unclaimed profiles display publicly available information only. Claimed profiles are fully managed by the executive. Learn more about our network methodology →
Executive Rights
Any executive whose information appears on our platform has the right to:
- Claim their profile — take ownership and control their listing
- Update their information — correct or enhance any data we hold
- Request removal — have their profile taken down entirely
To make any of these requests, contact us at privacy@hirefractional.ai. Removal requests are honored within 5 business days.
3. Data We Collect
From Executives & Consultants
- Name, professional title, and contact information
- Work history, specializations, and certifications
- Headshot and professional bio
- Engagement preferences (availability, rates, service offerings)
- LinkedIn URL and professional website
- Optional: Individualization Profile™ data (birth date/time/location for personality methodology matching — skippable and stored encrypted)
From Companies & Hiring Managers
- Name, email, and company name
- Company size, industry, and business challenges (from assessment flow)
- Role requirements and budget range
- Booking and payment information (processed via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
Automatically Collected
- IP address and browser/device type
- Pages visited and time spent on site
- Referral source (how you arrived at our site)
- Quiz and assessment responses
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Run the marketplace — match companies with the right fractional executives based on skills, availability, and fit
- Process bookings and payments — facilitate session scheduling and payment via Stripe
- Communicate with you — send booking confirmations, reminders, and relevant platform updates
- Improve the platform — analyze usage patterns to improve matching quality and user experience
- Prevent fraud — detect and prevent unauthorized access or misuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for retargeting advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to deliver our services (e.g., Stripe for payments, transactional email providers for confirmations).
5. Company Assessment Data
When companies use our Get Started assessment or hire flow, we collect information about their business challenges, team structure, budget, and hiring timeline. This data is used exclusively to:
- Generate personalized executive match recommendations
- Help fractional executives understand the engagement context before a call
- Improve our matching algorithm over time
Assessment responses are associated with your account. We do not share individual company assessment data with executives without your consent. Aggregate, anonymized patterns (e.g., "most companies in Series A need CFO help with fundraising") may be used to improve our platform.
6. Your Rights & Deletion Requests
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances
To make a data request: Email us at privacy@hirefractional.ai with your name and the request type. We will respond within 10 business days. Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
Executive Profile Removal
If your professional information appears on our platform and you would like it removed, email privacy@hirefractional.ai with the subject line "Profile Removal Request" and your profile URL or name. We honor all removal requests within 5 business days.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- Sensitive data (OAuth tokens, sensitive profile fields) encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
- Payment data handled entirely by Stripe — we never store credit card numbers
- Access to production systems restricted to authorized personnel
- Regular security reviews and dependency updates
No security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.
9. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide our services:
- Account data — retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request
- Executive profiles (unclaimed) — retained until a removal request is received
- Booking records — retained for 7 years for legal and tax compliance purposes
- Quiz and assessment data — retained for 2 years, then anonymized or deleted
- Analytics data — retained in aggregate form; individual session data purged after 90 days
